Yekaterinburg Medical Research Center for Prophylaxis and Health Protection in Industrial Workers is a Research Institute of the Russian Agency for Consumers Rights Protection (Rospotrebnadzor). 

Since its establishment in 1929, YMRC has been conducting basic and applied research to promote occupational health and safety in the leading industries like metallurgy, mining, construction etc. Concurrently, YMRC researchers studied the environmental impacts on human health and genetics and explored the related risk assessment methodologies. They were looking for the novel strategies in prevention, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of occupational, environmental and other widely occurring diseases. Also, an active research in industrial toxicology was conducted. 

YMRC today is a major multi-field medical center for preventive and rehabilitation medicine in the Ural region. We adhere to the best traditions of the Ural scientific community of occupational health and hygiene professionals, physiologists, balneotherapy and physiotherapy practitioners. 

YMRC is currently improving its technical capabilities and providing training to its staff to guarantee a better medical care to the Russian people.
